ON THE REAL...

Music Within is designed for youth and young adults with a desire to sing, write, produce, or compose music. This program is comprise of music therory, music instruction, film and theater scoring.

My Voice is a vocal education workshop designed to equip youth and young adults in vocal technique, vocal performance, and songwriting.

​

Fall Workshops:

​

  • Music Within Session : 5 weeks  (Thursdays)

  • My Voice (Songwriting) : 5 weeks (Saturdays)

  • My Voice (Vocal Techinique/Performance) : 5 weeks (Saturdays)

These program consist of music showcase at the close of the workshop.

Art of Soul is an art program designed to pull out the artist in every child. It allows pure freedom of expression through photography, stretch art, painiting, and more.

 

This year we will be adding, the Creation Nation workshop. This workshop will train youth and youth adults in graphic design for print and video. We will also include comic book creation to our art program for the Spring 2020.

These program consist of quarterly art showcase and varies art competitions.

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

ZCA is a strong supporter of the Anti-Human Trafficking initative in South Florida. We have be an active advocate in promoting campaigns such as SpeakUp & SpeakOut (SUSO)that target the education of community youth on this terrible epidemic. They have joined forces with several anti-human trafficking organizations and goverment instituations including but not limited Homeland Security and Broward Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition.

YOUTH-LED DISCUSSIONS  AND WORKSHOPS

FILM/WRITING WORKSHOP

  • MY LIFE (Online Writing Course & Classroom)

“My Life ” is an intensive screenwriting and filmmaking workshop series program that includes screenwriting development, film education, film pre-and post production for individual short film and special projects year round.  This workshop series is developed for 25 to 30 adults from the age twelve (16) and to eighteen (21) that wish to concentrate solely on this particular field.  

 

This workshop provides an intense outline of the operational functions and developmental skills needed to write and produce a short film.

​

Participants obtain training inscreenwriting, cinematography, cameraoperating, editing, dubbing, producing and directing.  The completed film product and/or screenplay fromthis program will be shown at a local screen house with a red carpet event.

Fall Workshops:

  • Online Screenwriting Session : 5 weeks (Thursdays)

  • Film Production of the workshop series: 7 weeks (Thursdays & Saturdays)

 "Speak Up & Speak Out : Against Human Trafficking Campaign ". Is a campaign designed to educate and bring awareness of human trafficking among youth to prevent them from falling victim to this crime through community based rallies held in the Spring and Summer. 

 

United Nations children's Fund reveals that approximately 1.2 million children are trafficked each year. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has handled more than 300,000 reports of all types of child sexual exploitation in the United States.

 

In our rallies we host professional speakers, local artist, and government to educate the attendees of our growing crisis and preventive strategies against modern-day slavery.

 

At our last rally, we were able to reach over 200 youth in the Fort Lauderdale area through the assistance of the City of Fort Lauderderdale Parks & Recreation. Kudos to the City of Fort Lauderdale for giving their youth the opportunity to be educated on this trajesty that is plaguing the nations.
